IPI stands for "Interdimensional Police Investigators." They are a group of senshi who police the different dimensions, protecting them from those individuals who would cross the dimensional borders to cause mayhem or harm.

Each generation of IPI Senshi is different, with different abilities from different dimensions. The IPI senshi never age once inducted and can cross any time barrier as they cross the dimensional barrier in search of their targets.

The IPI senshi were first created when I had the notion to have a team of senshi who would cross into other stories and react to the different settings and characters. It was originally supposed to be a comedy of sorts, but evolved into a serious story.

The story also gave me the opportunity to use characters of mine who had been neglected. The three IPI senshi were made to reflect different deities, but I never used them. I liked the characters and didn't want them to turn to dust from lack of use, and so I turned them into a team. I then pulled characters from different stories. However, I felt it would be boring only exploring my different senshi worlds, and so I expanded into the original idea of crossing into other stories. With the permission of the creators, I have done that.

Sailor Daichi's civilian name is "Reikon," but it wasn't always. Before it came to her, it cycled through many different male characters. The last male character was actualy a previous incarnation of Daichi herself!
